The Queens of Crime by Marie Benedict

A fun mystery novel that was hard to put down. I enjoyed the story and the unfolding of its twists and turns. I managed to piece together a few clues on my own, but there were plenty of surprises as well.
Benedict’s writing style wasn’t my favorite. I’m not sure how best to describe it – maybe matter of fact. A bit abrupt? It wasn’t bad. Just not the sort of smooth, almost poetic prose that feels delightful to read.
